AZULUMÉA
COMING BACK TO PLAY
What if you gave yourself permission to play again?
At some point, adulthood can become a long list of things we need to manage.
Work.
Family.
Responsibilities.
Deadlines.
Decisions.
Other people's needs.
We become very good at getting things done.
But the parts of us that want to explore, create, laugh, experiment and simply enjoy being alive don't disappear.
Sometimes they just get quiet.
Coming Back to Play is an invitation to turn the volume back up.
Not by adding another thing to your to-do list.
By stepping away from it.
For one weekend, you'll have space to create, connect, explore and experience something different, in a beautiful setting in Brittany, surrounded by a small group of women who are there for the same reason.
You may arrive feeling disconnected from your creative side.
You will leave feeling lighter, more curious, and more open, reminded that play isn't something you outgrow.
THE EXPERIENCE
This isn't a retreat where every hour is programmed.
We've designed a rhythm that gives you both beautifully curated experiences and genuine freedom.
EXPLORE
Begin Saturday with a morning exploration of the surrounding landscape. Notice colours, textures and seasonal details
CREATE
Spend two hours painting, experimenting and making something without worrying about whether it's good enough.
PLAY
The Saturday afternoon is intentionally yours. Rest, wander, read, nap, create or join Christina and Leila in the salon for games and spontaneous activities.
YOUR WEEKEND
-
AFTERNOON
Arrive at Manoir Caché, settle into your room and explore the house and grounds.
Take your time.
The weekend begins when you arrive.
EVENING
Gather for relaxed welcome drinks followed by dinner.
A chance to meet the group, share a meal and begin settling into the rhythm of the weekend.
-
BREAKFAST
A relaxed breakfast and coffee before the day begins.
MORNING EXPLORATION WALK
A gentle walk through the surrounding landscape.
Notice the colours, textures and details of the season.
PAINTING EXPERIENCE
A hands-on creative experience designed around experimentation, colour and play.
No artistic experience required.
No perfect result expected.
Just create and see where it takes you.
LUNCH
A relaxed lunch together.
Then the afternoon is yours.
THE AFTERNOON IS YOURS
This is deliberately unscheduled.
For those who want a little more company, the salon becomes our informal play space, with creative activities and spontaneous things to join.

THE AZULUMÉA DINNER
NOT JUST DINNER
Some of life's best memories happen around a table.
Not only because the meal was perfect.
Because of who was there.
The conversation.
The laughter.
The unexpected moments.
The stories that came out.
The stories no one saw coming
Our Saturday evening dinner is designed around exactly that idea.
Farm-to-table food.
French wine.
Non-alcoholic options.
Candlelight.
Conversation.
A few surprises.
We're keeping some of the details to ourselves.
Because part of coming back to play is allowing yourself to be curious about what happens next.
-
MORNING
After Saturday evening, Sunday is intentionally unhurried.
Sleep in.
Have a coffee.
Enjoy the house.
Take your time.
SUNDAY BRUNCH
A relaxed final brunch together.
Good food, coffee, conversation, and probably a few stories from the night before.
Sunday Closing Circle
A gentle moment to pause, reflect, and share before we return to everyday life.
THE SETTING
A hidden corner of Brittany
Manoir Caché
Tucked away in the Breton countryside, Manoir Caché provides the setting for our first Azuluméa retreat.
Surrounded by nature and full of character, the house offers the perfect backdrop for a weekend away from the usual pace of life.
Old stone, beautiful interiors, outdoor spaces and quiet corners give you room to gather together or find a little time for yourself.
This isn't a conference centre.
It isn't a busy hotel.
It's a place that feels personal, welcoming and a little removed from the everyday.
MEET YOUR HOSTS
Christina Rougerie
Founder & Retreat Host
FROM DESIGNING SPACES TO CREATING EXPERIENCES
Christina Rougerie is an interior designer, creative and the founder of Azuluméa.
For years, her work has focused on creating spaces around the way people live, how light, materials, colour, flow and atmosphere can change the way a space feels and functions.
Azuluméa grew from that same curiosity.
Because a beautiful space can change the pace of a weekend.
A thoughtfully prepared table can turn a meal into an occasion.
Making something with your hands can quiet the noise of everyday life.
And bringing the right people together can create connections you didn't expect.
Azuluméa brings these ideas together through small, thoughtfully created retreats where creativity, play, place and connection become part of the experience.
The goal isn't to fix you.
It's to create enough space for you to remember what you enjoy.
Leila Bodros
Co-Host & Guest Facilitator
For almost twenty years, Leila has helped people create space for clarity, connection and meaningful change. Her work with entrepreneurial women across Europe has given her a deep understanding of the importance of slowing down, listening well and making room for new perspectives.
Leila brings that same thoughtful and intuitive presence to Azuluméa. Throughout the weekend, she will be alongside Christina, helping create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that allows connection to happen naturally, from conversations around the table to playful moments in the Manoir and the quieter exchanges in between.
Curious, perceptive and deeply attentive, Leila has a natural ability to bring people into conversation and help them feel comfortable being themselves.
Together with Christina, Leila helps create a retreat that feels thoughtfully held without feeling overly structured, a space where conversation, creativity, laughter and spontaneity can naturally take the lead.
